4 new nests of Lesser Spotted Eagle was found by BSPB team


The number of active nests of Lesser Spotted Eagle in the LIFE project "Forests of the eagle" are 4 more, reaching 60.

New nests with new pairs were found by a team of BSPB during the winter monitoring in December and February, two of them are located in Sakar and the other two - in Western Strandja.

The determination of the breeding areas of Lesser Spotted Eagle is one of the main activities of the project "Forests of the eagle", which aims to identify existing breeding areas within the 16 areas under the project "Natura 2000" and those near them.
