The interactive exhibition „The flyway of the Red-breasted Goose“  was opened at the Credo Bonum Gallery yesterday and will stay until 14 August. The exhibition shows  us the threats and dangers that the species faces during its migration.

It  includes interactive and game elements designed to engage the audience emotionally with the conservation of the Red-breasted Goose. The exhibition modules are desined like the areas inhabited by Red-breasted geese, and the dimensions give us the point of view of the species. The exhibition is made up of several modules, which corresponds to a specific topic related to the geese and their conservation. Special elements form the space like a labyrinth through which visitors try to reach the breeding grounds.

A virtual experience presents how the disturbance caused by hunters and atypical noises in feeding habitats threatens the migration abilities of the goose. By playing Goose Chess, visitors will learn how oil platforms and wind generators are endangering the species survival.

The exhibition is appropriate for kids and adults as it is both informative and entertaining and presents interesting facts in a popular science manner. Mainly renewable materials such as corrugated board and bamboo are used. Studio Reactiv has designed and created the exhibition.

The exhibition will be presented also in Burgas, Shabla, Svishtov, Rousse in 2019 and 2020. The exposition was already presented in Kazakhstan, where it will also tour the main cities in the country. Its production and presentation in Russia and in the Republic of Kalmykia is forthcoming.

The exhibition is organized within the framework of the LIFE for Save Flight Project of the Bulgarian Society for the Protection of Birds and is funded by the EU LIFE Program and the Whitley Fund for Nature.
