The BSPB started the first LIFE+ Programme project in Bulgaria, funded by the EU

The first and largest project for the conservation of the imperial eagle and the saker falcon in Bulgaria, funded by the LIFE+ Programme of the EU was launched. An integral complex of measures for the conservation of the two species was applied, including satellite tagging of imperial eagles which revealed the main causes for the species’ high mortality rates and allowed us to direct our efforts towards reducing the respective threats.
