On 8th of October (Saturday) we are celebrating the World Migratory Bird Day in Sofia Zoo with a focus on two iconic migratory bird species – the Egyptian vulture and the Saker Falcon.

Every visitor will have the opportunity to learn more about the Egyptian vulture and its essential role as a “nature cleaner” , and about the Saker Falcon and the challenges for its conservation.

We’ll be waiting for you in front of the Ecological Center in the Sofia Zoo at our stall with informational brochures and information about all of the upcoming events during the day.

Programme:

10:00 – Start

12:00 – 12:30 – Lecture, dedicated to the Egyptian vulture, given by Elitsa Ivanova/BSPB – in front of the Egyptian vultures’ aviary

14:00 – 14:30 – Lecture, dedicated to the Saker Falcon, given by Dimitar Gradinarov – at the BSPB stall
