The best of the best

Our project Conservation of imperial eagle and saker falcon in key Natura 2000 sites in Bulgaria was awarded by the EC as one of five ‘Best of the Best’ LIFE projects in the ‘Nature’ category.

An award for our work in Africa

Together with BirdLife International we won the Good Practice Award of Renewables Grid Initiative in the Nature Conservation category. This recognition for both organizations is for our joint efforts to prevent the electrocution of rare species of birds on power lines in Bulgaria and in Sudan. In Bulgaria we worked in cooperation with the electricity provider EVN.

Human of the Year

Our colleague Svilen Cheshmedzhiev received the audience award ‘Human of the Year’ of the Bulgarian Helsinki Committee.
