The Global Egyptian Vulture Online Conference was held on 8-9 November 2022 under the Egyptian Vulture New LIFE (LIFE16 NAT/BG/000874) project. The proceedings were published in a special issue of the journal Vulture News, containing 65 extended abstracts of presentations from speakers representing 26 countries within the global range of Egyptian Vulture. The proceedings are divided into 11 sections: Status in Europe; Status in Africa; Status in Asia; Status in the Middle East; Threats and Mitigation; Threats – Focus on Poisoning; Engagement with Communities and Communication Campaigns; Monitoring and Research; Innovative Techniques in Egyptian Vulture Conservation; and Round Tables. The individual abstracts cover a broad range of topics about Egyptian Vulture biology, ecology and management, including theory and survey techniques, population monitoring and modelling, case studies, different conservation concepts, and approaches in working with stakeholders. These proceedings provide scientists, conservationists and decision-makers with state-of-the-art information on Egyptian Vulture research, conservation and awareness.

In addition, height-selected scientific papers were published in supplement 17 of the peer-reviewed journal Acta Zoologica Bulgarica (AZB). These publications refer to the status of the Egyptian Vulture in Kazakhstan, Albania, Turkey, Egypt and Niger; case studies about bird mortality due to power lines in Jordan; the use of trail cameras to investigate the breeding behaviour of the species in Bulgaria; last but not least – the underestimated threat of mass dog poisoning for the Egyptian Vulture along the flyway.
