An exhibition dedicated to the birds of the Danube and their habitats is on display in the Sea Garden in Varna until September 22. The exhibition was opened on September 9th as part of the International Symposium “Music alongside the Danube” which is included in the the program of Varna Summer International Music Festival 2024.

The 18 panels, showcasing some of the most iconic habitats and bird species of the Danube River, studied and protected by the Bulgarian Society for the Protection of Birds, are located at the main entrance of the Sea Garden. The photographs were created by some of Bulgaria’s most talented wildlife photographers.
The International Symposium ”Music alongside the Danube” is dedicated to classical music traditions and modern tendencies of Danube countries and interrelations among them. The Symposium combines theoretical forum, live music illustrations and evening concerts.

The exhibition is part of the projects “Pelican Way of LIFE” and “LIFE Danube Free Sky,” funded by the LIFE Programme of the European Union, as well as the RESTORIVER project (RESORIVER – DRP0200419), supported by the Interreg Danube Region Programme co-funded by the European Union.
